I have been a Buddhist. I have been an atheist and now I am learning the teachings of Christianity.
I decided to pursue religion in the past year in the hope of finding an answer to just one question. You may be a Buddhist , Christian, Islamic or a believer of some other religion - everyone believes their God/Guru is the greatest there ever was and that "God is good" .."God loves us all"
What I do not understand is the almighty creator of the universe would allow pain and suffering in the world?
Why would a 5 year old child die of cancer when a drug dealer that exploits the innocent and vulnerable live on to old age?
Why would the almighty creator of the universe allow pain and suffering for those who don't deserve it?
Why can't God give water to those in need instead of watching them die in thirst?
Religion(s) teach us that God created nature. How could God watch half a million people die and millions more suffer in the Tsunami of 2004 ?
My father was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2017. In the past 1.5 years his health has suffered to the point he is reaching a point of paralysis. My father never drank or smoked. He has a kind heart and did everything he could have to make his children happy. What could my father have done to go through this?
I have been going to church for the past year praying for his life and for him to live as long as he normally would have before being diagnosed with a tumor. If there is a God above who listens to my, and everyone's prayers. I would like our prayers answered. There are billions (or should I say trillions) of unanswered prayers.
